Hi Neighbor, I’m Ruben Medina, your Ward 3 City Councilmember
I was born in Colorado, and my family and I have called Aurora home for over 35 years.
In 2021, you elected me to the Aurora City Council. I promised results, and I have delivered better water standards, hired more park rangers, and increased investments in our business district to help you and other Ward 3 families.
I promised you the first-ever Youth Empowerment Center in Aurora, and I will announce the grand opening soon. I promised to be active and accessible (email me at [email protected] for my personal cell phone number if you don’t already have it)
I’ve dedicated my life to public service and working in the community. I’m a former firefighter/EMT and opened the first ambulance service in my hometown. I sit on several community boards and coached wrestling at Rangeview & Overland High Schools. In addition to serving you on the city council, I work at a foundation to develop sustainable urban communities across Aurora.
Now, I’m asking for your vote as I run for re-election.
There’s more to do to make Aurora a thriving city for you and every family, regardless of background or beliefs.
As a firefighter/EMT, I ran to problems, not away from them. I was 100% focused on helping people.
Now, as our city faces a budget crisis, I promise to put your needs before any political party or personal agenda.
Let’s build on the progress we started and make your community the best it can be.
