Hi Neighbor, I’m Ruben Medina, your Ward 3 City Councilmember
I was born in Walsenberg, CO, and my family and I have called Aurora home for over 35 years. I’m a father, former firefighter/EMT, and wrestling coach at Rangeview & Overland High Schools. I sit on several community boards and work for the Foundation for Sustainable Urban Communities, while serving you on the council.
In 2021, you elected me to the Aurora City Council. I promised to be a responsive councilmember who listens, takes action, and gets results for our community. I’ve kept my word.
Since then, I’ve hosted 80+ town halls, answered 300+ resident requests, delivered better water standards, hired more park rangers, installed speed bumps, increased investments in our business district, and more — to keep Ward 3 neighborhoods clean and safe for all of us.
I even give every resident my personal cell phone number, so the community has a direct connection to me (it’s 303.906.4139 if you don’t already have it.)
I dedicated my life to public service and bringing people together.
Now, I’m asking for your vote as I run for re-election.
Aurora faces a budget crisis and extremists are taking over city council.
As a firefighter and coach, I run to problems, never away from them.
I have a plan to continue getting you results while protecting our neighborhoods, jobs, and businesses.
That’s why Democrats, Republicans, and Independents all support my re-election campaign.
I put people first.
Let’s build on the progress we started and make Aurora a city where everyone, regardless of age, background, or political beliefs, can thrive.
Re-Elect Ruben Medina, the Democrat on your ballot. Vote by Nov. 4, 2025 at 7 PM
